Export turnover climbs up about 11% over 9 months
According to the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade, the city is likely to have earned an estimate of 96 million USD from exports in September. This figure has helped to bring the city’s 9-month export revenues to an estimated 824.5 million USD, an increase of around 11% compared with the same period last year and fulfilling 71.4% of the year’s target.
Between January and September, FDI enterprises operating in Da Nang took the lead in exports turnover with over 441 million USD, up around 14% against the same period last year. They are followed by local businesses with over 207 million USD, a 7% rise, and central state-owned businesses with 175.5 million USD, up 8.7%.

In particular, electrical devices, engines and electronic products recorded the highest export turnover at 230 million USD, a 7.5% rise in comparison with the same period last year. They are followed by the textiles and garments industry with 200.6 million USD, jumping by 14.6%, fisheries with 118 million USD, up 15.7%, and children’s toys with 43.2 million USD, up 13.1%.
The city’s export turnover is expected to show an upward trend for the remaining months of this year because many local businesses have already received orders from their customers until the 1st quarter of next year.
