Le Duan specialised shopping area underway
The establishment of the specialised area selling fashion products along a section of Le Duan Street, between its intersections with Tran Phu and Ong Ich Khiem streets, is now underway. The project will cost over 20 billion VND, 40% of which will come from the city’s budget, 30% from Hai Chau District’s budget, and the remainder from businesses and individuals along this street. All the traders along the section have given their strong support to the project.
Under the project, all the business establishments, shops and schools along the section are being encouraged to replace their existing billboards with aluminium ones to give high aesthetic value. The new billboard of the Phan Chau Trinh Foreign Language and Informatics Centre at 84 Le Duan Street will cost 56 million VND which is the most expensive billboard to be recorded in Hai Chau District’s Thach Thang Ward. The centre’s Director, Mrs Nguyen Thi Tuong Vi, said that she is very happy about the replacement of overhead power and telecommunications cables with underground ones in order to improve the aesthetics. The existing pavement along the section will be upgraded whilst the existing trees will be replaced with Madagascar almonds.
