During a recent meeting with the Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee, Mr Tran Tho, the General Director of Sun Group, Mr Dang Minh Truong, remarked that the Group has made great efforts to complete some local key tourism projects as scheduled. These include the Premier Village Danang Resort, the “Mountain-climbing Train” project and the French-style Flower Garden at the Ba Na Hills Resort, and the “Sun Wheel” project which is the 1st part of the Group’s Asia Park project on the southeastern side of the 2 September Peace Monument.

He added that their focus is now on ensuring that the Ba Na Hills Resort’s French Village, and the creation of over 60 international-standard rides at the Asia Park project, will be completed on schedule.
Following recent approval by the city authorities, 2.5ha of land at a vacant area on the approach road to the Tien Son Bridge, will be earmarked to construct a resettlement area for families affected by the Asia Park project. In addition, the city’s budget will pay in advance the cost of the construction of a drainage system at this project site. The Group enjoys exemption from land rental fees whilst it is implementing the project, but is required to give sufficient compensation for displaced families.
Secretary Tho vowed that the local authorities would create even more favourable conditions for both domestic and foreign businesses to operate effectively in the city. With its strong financial potential, the Group has deployed a number of large-scale projects in Da Nang which have brought positive changes to the face of the city over recent years. Moreover, the Group has made significant contributions to the city’s total budget collections, as well as created numerous job opportunities for job-seekers.
