Increase in domestic tax collection planned for 2015
On Tuesday afternoon, the Director of the Da Nang Taxation Department, Mr Tran Van Mien, said that the city’s total domestic tax collection for 2015 is planned to be 9,411 billion VND, which will represent an increase of 10% year-on-year. Of this, 1,400 billion VND should come from land use fees.
Top priority will be given to allocating funds for implementing the city’s development programmes next year.
In order to effectively implement the city’s “Year for Culture and Urban Civilisation 2015” programme, a focus will be on spending about 400 billion VND on the local cultural sector, doubling the spending in 2014. Expenditure on education will also be increased next year, with a focus on pouring more investment into local pre-schools and primary schools. The spending on districts and wards will be also higher than in 2014.
In 2015, all local government agencies and departments will take responsibility for managing and controlling their own budgets. They will not be granted any additional money from the city’s budget, except in very exceptional circumstances.
