Stanford University students visit city
Last Saturday, a group of postgraduates from Stanford University in the USA visited Da Nang. The purpose of their visit was to learn from the city’s experience of developing strategies to attract more FDI and promote the development of the city’s tourism and industries.
During their meeting with representatives from the city’s relevant departments, the group were introduced to the local incentive policies for foreign investors. As a result of these policies, foreign businesspeople have found it easy to gain their investment licences and implement their projects, which has saved them time and money. In addition, the US guests were given an outline of the city’s target to develop Da Nang into an environmentally-friendly and liveable city, and its future plans for developing the local infrastructure.
