DA NANG Today
Published: December 23, 2014

Da Nang is likely to see a 10% increase in the number of tourist arrivals over the forthcoming New Year holiday as against the same period last year because of the 4-day break.

The Chairman of the city’s Travel Association, Mr Cao Tri Dung, said that despite only a slight year-on-year increase in the volume of visitors, there would be an increasing trend in tourist arrivals who are individuals and families, especially those from China, South Korea and Japan.  He noted that various interesting cultural and arts events would take place across the city over the holiday period.  Apart from enjoying entertainment activities, visitors to Da Nang will have the opportunity to visit new amusement areas, shopping malls, restaurants and hotels.

In an attempt to attract more visitors, the city’s travel agencies are launching a variety of reasonably priced tours, and the city’s hotels and resorts are offering many attractive promotional programmes.  In particular, local 3 to 5-star hotels are giving between 10% and 50% discounts on their room rates.

On New Year’s Eve (31 December) a year-end party will be held at the Bamboo Green Hotel on Tran Phu Street and there is a countdown party at the Muong Thanh Da Nang Hotel.

The Novotel Danang Premier Han River is offering Christmas and year-end buffets, along with special musical performances, at preferential prices.  The hotel’s Inbalance Spa is also providing 20% off its spa services.  There will also be many interesting activities to welcome in Christmas and the New Year at the hotel’s Sky 36 Night Club.

The Ba Na Hills Resort will organise some exciting culture and arts performances, including puppet shows, to welcome in the New Year.
