Bustling working atmosphere at local businesses after New Year break

An enthusiastic working atmosphere was seen at the majority of businesses in Da Nang on the first working day after the 4-day New Year holiday break.  Those companies which successfully fulfilled their targets for last year are upholding their achievements and making greater efforts to gain more success this year.

The city’s 29 March Textiles and Garments Company exceeded last year’s key targets by at least 30%.  The current bustling working atmosphere reported at the company is mainly attributed to the earlier than expected announcements of Tet bonuses made by the company’s leaders for their workers.  Each of them will receive an average of 9 million VND in both New Year and Lunar New Year (Tet) bonuses before Tet.  In addition, the company’s employees will officially have 11 days off work for the forthcoming Tet Festival, instead of the 9 days off approved by the central government.

Employees at the Da Nang Power Company are now actively involved in doing maintenance work on the city’s electrical infrastructure systems in order to ensure sufficient electricity supplies for local residents’ daily lives, as well as agriculture and industry, especially during the Tet Festival.

The Dacotex Da Nang Company, which belongs to the French-invested Dacotex Group, reached last year’s production target of nearly 3 million.  The company earned over 7 million USD from exports last year, up 10% against the same period in 2013.  This remarkable result helped to bring the Group’s total export revenue to over 21 million USD last year.
