Since the beginning of last year, domestic petrol and kerosene prices have decreased on 14 occasions.  As a result, Da Nang’s taxi companies have reduced their rates by 2,000 VND per km, the highest reduction ever recorded in the city. 

Meanwhile, bus service providers have been offering 10% off their rates to customers from early January. 

However, at present long-distance bus services from Da Nang to Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City, along with the short-distance ones to Hue City and Quang Ngai Province, are seeing a relatively stable number of passengers.  Meanwhile, a significant decrease in the volume of travellers has been recorded on services from the city to Nha Trang City and Binh Dinh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.
