Real estate project transfers expected to increase

Da Nang’s real estate market is expected to show positive signs of recovery during the year ahead.  Several important events will be taking place in the city in 2015 including the 40th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang on 29 March, the 2015 Da Nang International Fireworks Competition on 28 and 29 April, and the inauguration of some key construction projects.  Local real estate developers will be taking advantage of these events to promote the sale of their products and to help local clients regain their trust.

Numerous seminars on real estate and exhibitions of local properties will be open during the festive events.  In addition, the city is expected to see more transfers of real estate projects amongst realty investors.  The Ho Chi Minh City-based National Housing Organisation (NHO JSC) has already acquired the land use rights to vacant land lots near the Tien Son Bridge for constructing apartment buildings.

The city authorities are focusing on taking back unused land at the construction sites of delayed projects in order to re-lease it to businesses in need of land for production activities.  As a result, developers who are unable to proceed with their projects will have to transfer them to other eligible investors.  The transfers of these projects will help the city’s real estate market to rebound, bring positive changes to the local urban architectural planning and design, and foster the restructuring of local land resources and housing.

Some realty experts have remarked that transferring real estate projects to Japanese investors could prove effective because Da Nang’s authorities have maintained bilateral cooperative ties with the Japanese government and its businesses.
