Because of the 4-day New Year holiday break this year, Da Nang is likely to see a 30% increase in the number of tourist arrivals as against the same period last year.  The number of both domestic and international tourists arriving in the city through local travel agencies is likely to hit 13,530, which will be a 26% increase on last year.  Of this figure, the number of foreigners is predicted to rise by 30.5% to an estimated 7,750, whilst the domestic visitors’ total is forecast to climb by 20% to 4,800.

According to local travel companies, about 60% of the total number of domestic visitors coming to the city this holiday will come from the southern region, with the remainder from the north.
