Beihai City is one of Asia’s largest cruise ship centres. The bilateral cooperation with Beihai in opening a marine tourism route will help Da Nang to attract more visitors from China, and from other Chinese speaking localities, in the years ahead.
A representative from the Da Nang Vacation Company said that the ship would make regular visits to Da Nang, starting from April. He also noted that in addition to China, his company would bring more cruise ship passengers from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore.
Also docking on Tuesday was the Costa Line cruise ship Costa Victoria with 2,100 Chinese passengers on board. Over 1,785 of them visited popular tourist attractions in the city and took tours to Quang Nam Province's Hoi An City and My Son Sanctuary. The ship then left Da Nang at 7.00pm the same day.
