Thanks to the current favourable weather conditions, Da Nang is seeing an abundance of beautiful Tet flowers, and their prices are either equal to or lower than in previous years.

Chrysanthemums and yellow apricot blossom are dominating the city’s spring flower market.  Yellow apricot blossoms are being sold at prices ranging between 500,000 VND and several millions of VND per pot.  A pair of chrysanthemum pots is being offered at between 300,000 VND and 700,000 VND, whilst 3 million VND is being asked for larger pairs.

Other types of flowers, including cymbidium, rhododendrons, short lily bulbs and red apricot blossom from Da Lat and northern provinces, have also become best-sellers.  They are being sold at prices between 50,000 VND and 300,000 VND per small pot.  Large pots containing many bulbs are priced between 500,000 VND and 700,000 VND.

However, many Tet flower traders are predicting that during the lead up to Tet there could be a significant increase in the prices of Tet flowers due to rising demand from local residents.  The prices of small flower pots are jumping by between 5,000 VND and 30,000 VND per pot, whilst those of larger pots are climbing by between 50,000 VND and 100,000 VND per pot.
