A discussion about promoting tourism cooperation between Da Nang, Thua Thien-Hue Province, and Quang Nam Province took place in Da Nang on Wednesday morning.

During the last year, the 3 localities have focused on sharing their information and professional skills in the tourism sector, as well as regularly introducing new tours and tourism products in the mass media.

In addition, the localities have together attended fairs in Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Malaysia, South Korea and Japan.  The implementation of the “Three Localities - One Destination” programme has brought positive results and increasing success each year.

Also at the meeting, representatives from travel associations in the three localities entered into a cooperation agreement to further the development of their tourism sectors.  Special attention will be paid to enhancing the role of the associations in any public-private dialogues about developing policies for State management.  Importance will be attached to the training of tourism staff and to advertising local tourism products in both domestic and international markets.
