Over recent days, a sharp increase in the number of customers has been reported in the area dedicated to delectable breakfast dishes on Huynh Thuc Khang Street, and the fashion goods shopping area along a section of Le Duan Street between its intersections with Tran Phu and Ong Ich Khiem streets.  Both of these specialised areas were officially opened on 31 December and aim to bring great benefits to the many traders there.

The owner of the Azua and Fashion 100 clothes shops on Le Duan Street, Ms Huynh Thi Thu Trang, remarked that the upgraded pavement and underground power and telecommunications cables had created a safe and comfortable space on the pavements for pedestrians.

Many local residents and visitors have visited and bought their favourite products.  Ms Trang added that her shop has a stock of many new products and she is offering attractive promotions which seem to have succeeded in attracting shoppers.

In a similar vein, the breakfast eateries on Huynh Thuc Khang Street are bustling with trade.  Delicious local dishes including “banh xeo” (steamed rice flour pancakes), “banh canh” (rice spaghetti), “banh cuon” (steamed rice rolls), and “my Quang” (Quang rice noodles) are served in the area.

In the month and a half since the opening of the 2 specialised areas, local relevant agencies have focused on ensuring civilised trading activities, upgrading the infrastructure systems, and maintaining social order at these venues.
