Tourist arrivals up nearly 11%
Thanks to the long Tet holiday and the favourable weather conditions, Da Nang welcomed 200,557 visitors during the Tet festival, a 10.78% increase over the same period last year.
According to the latest statistics released by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the number of tourists visiting some of the local popular tourist attractions during the holiday climbed 3.4% against 2014 to 86,518. The Ba Na Hills Resort received the highest number at around 32,000, followed by the Son Tra Peninsula and the Marble Mountains.

Most notably, the Museum of Da Nang welcomed 1,500 visitors, a near 3-fold increase in comparison with the same period last year. Other places such as the Bach Dang and Tran Hung Dao spring flower streets also attracted many visitors.
The city received 14,625 passengers from 143 international and domestic flights during Tet, up 74.3% compared with the same period last year.
On 19 February (the 1st day of the 1st lunar month) the city received 3,200 passengers from 3 cruise ships on tours arranged by the Saigontourist and Viet Nam-based Destination-Asia tourism companies.
The number of guests at local hotels and resorts jumped by 24.21% over last year to 66,764. 33,860 of them were foreigners, representing a 25.63% rise, whilst the remainder were domestic visitors, a 22.79 % increase.
