The Holland America Line’s MS Volendam cruise ship, carrying 1,260 passengers from the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia and other countries, berthed at Da Nang’s Tien Sa Port last Friday.  The majority of the passengers were aged 60 or above and generally preferred to learn about Vietnamese culture rather than shop at local markets.  Many of them visited the popular tourist attractions in the city or took tours to Hoi An and Hue cities.

The ship then left Da Nang at 6.00pm the same day, and it is scheduled to visit the city again on 9 April.
