First petrol price increase in more than a year

With permission from the ministries of Finance and Industry and Trade, fuel wholesalers nationwide increased their retail prices of petrol from 3.00 pm yesterday. After decreasing dramatically throughout last year, this is the first increase in more than 12 months.
As a result, in Da Nang the price of 92 RON petrol jumped by 1,616 VND to 17,286 VND per litre, and bio-fuel E5 is now 16,956 VND per litre.
In addition, the retail price per litre of diesel and Petrolimex kerosene rose by 713 VND to 15,883 VND and 16,323 VND respectively. Mazut now costs 12,761 VND per kilogram, up by 911 VND.
