Improved customs services benefit local businesses
In an effort to effectively implement Da Nang's “Year for Business 2014” programme, the city’s Customs Department has implemented many effective measures to help local import and export businesses to operate more easily.
Top priority has been given to accelerating the reform of customs procedures through promoting the use of e-customs procedures. Thanks to this, there has been a significant increase in the number of e-customs declaration forms and revenue from e-customs procedures.

Since April 2014, the Department has officially applied the Viet Nam Automated Cargo and Port Consolidated System/Viet Nam Customs Information System (VNACCS/VCIS) in the operation of its divisions across the city. The use of this system has brought many benefits to both the local customs divisions and local businesses. In particular, it has helped to save time and costs as the time for customs clearance has been shortened to an average of 3 seconds for goods in the green lane.
Last year, the Department earned over 2.540 trillion VND in revenue from its e-customs procedures, representing an 18.39% year-on-year increase and exceeding the year's target, set by the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance, by 12.92%.
As for this year’s tasks, the Department will create even more favourable conditions for local import and export businesses.
