With around 45 days to go to the 2015 Da Nang International Fireworks Competition (DIFC 2015), many hotels in the city are saying that they are already fully booked. 

The Chairman of the city’s Travel Association, Mr Cao Tri Dung, said that on normal days room rates at local 3-star hotels range between 350,000 and 500,000 VND per room per night, whilst local 4-star hotels charge between 600,000 and 850,000 VND.  Under the city’s price stabilisation regulations, local accommodation providers are not allowed to increase their room rates by more than 50% above normal over the forthcoming holiday period.

Da Nang is now home to 475 hotels and resorts with a total of 16,000 rooms.  Ten of them are 5-star hotels and resorts, 11 are 4-star, 50 are 3-star and the remainder are 1 and 2-star. 

Some local tourism experts affirmed that the existing number of the local hotel rooms can meet the accommodation demand from visitors during the 2 nights of the fireworks festival.
