Public sector employees will officially have 6 days off work (28 April to 3 May) for the Hung Kings' death anniversary on 28 April (10th day of 3rd lunar month), National Reunification Day (30 April) and International Labour Day (1 May).  During the holiday period, the 2015 Da Nang International Fireworks Competition (DIFC 2015) will take place on 28 and 29 April.  Many local travel agencies are taking advantage of these upcoming festivals to launch attractive tourism products for their customers.

The city’s branch of the Fiditour Company has so far received tour bookings from 4 groups of visitors, each consisting of between 30 and 40 people.  Focus is now being placed on launching a tour named “Fireworks Festival 2015”.  In addition to visitor groups, the branch has received bookings from individuals, the majority from Ha Noi, who are booking transport and accommodation services along with tickets for DIFC 2015.

Meanwhile, a tour named “Central Region’s Heritage Route and Fireworks Festival” is now being offered by the city’s branch of the Ben Thanh Tourist Company.  Visitors will spend either 2 or 3 nights in the city enjoying the fireworks festival and then visit tourist attractions in some neighbouring localities.  This company is also offering a tour which includes fishing and diving to explore the coral reefs, a tour which is expected to be very popular during the upcoming festivals period.  In addition, other traditional tours are now available in active response to a national tourism stimulus progamme entitled “Vietnamese People Book Domestic Tours - Each Journey Makes Them Love Their Fatherland More”, which is being organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

In a similar vein, other local travel agencies including Vitours, Viet Da Travel and Vietravel are also offering numerous new tours for the upcoming festivals.

According to local travel agencies, the prices of these tours are relatively high due to increases in the local room rates and the prices of air tickets and other services.  However, the city’s authorities have paid special heed to effectively publicising local attractions and ensuring a variety of services and a wide selection of tourism products for visitors arriving in the city.  This will help local travel agencies to better sell their tours to both domestic and foreign visitors.
