Positive results from tax collections
During January and February, Da Nang saw positive results in its tax collections which will help the city to reach its target of exceeding this year’s estimates by between 5 and 10%.
As of 4 March, the city’s total domestic collections had reached over 1.904 trillion VND, fulfilling 20% of the year’s estimates and exceeding the same period last year by 25.5%.
Of this, collection from state-owned enterprises, granting mining licences, land-use and registration fees have surpassed over 20% of the year’s estimates. In addition, budget collections in 6 out of the 7 local districts are reported to have exceeded their targets by 20%.

By 28 February, collections from land-use fees had reached over 431 billion VND, fulfilling 30.82% of the year’s estimate.
The city is aiming to raise its total budget collection by between 5 and 10% by the end of this year and, to keep on track, the aim is to reach 55% of the year’s target by the end of June. Heed has also been paid to reducing the rate of overdue tax arrears from 6.8% in 2014 to 5% by the end of this year.
