Retail sales of goods and services expected to have increased 0.68% in March
According to the Da Nang Department of Statistics, the city’s total value of retail sales of goods and services in March is expected to hit 4,787 billion VND, an increase of 0.68% against February.
Of this figure, retail sales at hotels is likely to have jumped by 16.44% and at restaurants by 13.64% compared with the same period last year. Meanwhile, retail sales in the local tourism sector is predicted to have declined by 23.23%, services by 15.13%, and the commercial sector by 4.99%.
Between January and March, the city’s total value of retail sales of goods and services is likely to reach 14,722 billion VND, down 0.84% compared with the same period last year. The main reason is attributed to a sharp decrease in petrol prices earlier this year. In addition, the Lotte Mart Da Nang Company has become a subsidiary of the Lotte Group instead of an independent unit, which has significantly affected to the city’s total value of retail sales of goods and services.
