Tourism cooperation shows positive results
After nearly 10 years of tourism cooperation, Da Nang, Thua Thien-Hue Province and Quang Nam Province have together developed many attractive new tourism products. The most popular products are the tours named “Hanh Trinh Di San” (Heritage Journey) and “Con Duong Di San Mien Trung” (Central Region's Heritage Route). In addition, tours combining sea, islands and heritage sites have become more attractive to tourists. These tours have given visitors the chance to experience the cultural values of each locality, and those of the central region as a whole.
Moreover, numerous tourism promotion programmes have been jointly organised by the 3 localities to advertise their images to both domestic and international visitors in order to save advertising costs. The localities have also worked closely in the preparations for large-scale cultural events, including the Hue Festivals, the Quang Nam Heritage Festivals, and the Da Nang International Fireworks Competitions.

Da Nang boasts many attractive tourist attractions such as the Ba Na Hills Resort, the Marble Mountains, the Son Tra Peninsula and the beautiful beaches. The city is, however, considered as the perfect place for travellers who want to pass through in order to access Hue and Hoi An City.
Last year, 44 new hotels in the city were officially put into operation, which helped to bring the total number of local guest rooms to 15,625. This has significantly contributed to diversifying the local accommodation products and services.
In 2015, Da Nang is aiming to welcome over 4.43 million visitors, a 16.6% year-on-year increase. 1.15 million of them are expected to be foreigners, representing an 20.4% increase, whilst the remainder are domestic visitors, a 15.3 % rise.
The construction of the Phuoc Tuong and Phu Gia tunnels in Thua Thien Hue Province is expected to be completed this year which should bring more domestic and international visitors to Da Nang, and the provinces of Thua Thien Hue and Quang Nam.
