According to the latest statistics released by the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the number of tourist arrivals to the city is expected to hit 332,705 in March, which would be an increase of 24.2% compared with the same period last year.  An estimated 105,531 are foreigners, up 39.1%, whilst the remainder are domestic visitors, up 18.3%.

Thanks to this, the city’s tourism sector is expected to earn an estimated 978.66 billion VND in revenue, a 51.2% increase compared with the same period last year.

Between January and March, Da Nang has welcomed 15,778 international passengers from 20 cruise ships.  In addition, the city is likely to have received 125,755 air passengers, a 30.5% increase compared with the same period last year.  Over the 3-month period, the volume of Thai and Laos tourist arrivals to the city by road is predicted to have hit an estimated 5,450.
