Urge to get key construction projects underway
At a meeting on Monday to review Da Nang’s key construction projects for this year, municipal Party Committee Secretary Tran Tho stressed the urgency to fully implement them as soon as possible.
According to the developers of Da Nang’s Hue T-junction overpass, the Trung Nam Group, over 98% of the construction work has been completed to date, and over 90% of the total investment capital for the project has already been disbursed.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group, Mr Nguyen Tam Thinh, revealed that local residents and visitors will be allowed to visit and take photos of the overpass from 20 March. The overpass will be officially opened to traffic on 29 March to mark the 40th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang.
Secretary Tho remarked that top priority should be given to ensuring the quality and aesthetics of the project because it will help to make the city’s landscape more beautiful.
As for other projects, the expansion of the Phan Chau Trinh Senior High School at 167 Le Loi Street will start on 15 April, and the Hoa Vang General Hospital expansion project will begin on 24 April.
Work will start on the upgrade to the Phu Loc domestic wastewater treatment plant on 30 April.
With regard to other projects, including the Children’s Cultural Palace and a new cardiovascular centre at the Da Nang General Hospital, their implementation will begin soon.
