Over the 1st quarter of this year, Cam Le District’s total production value reached 3,110 billion VND, an increase of 8.7% compared with the same period last year.  The total of budget collections hit 61.91 billion VND, up 20% against last year, and employment was created for 432 job seekers over the period.

These figures were officially released at a meeting on Monday to review the district’s performance in the 1st quarter of this year.

With regard to the main tasks for the remainder of the year, the focus will be on furthering the development of the district’s economy and encouraging local businesses to develop their production activities to increase the local production values, with a focus on private industries, trade and services.

In addition, stronger measures will be taken to increase the collection of overdue tax arrears and boosting disbursement of capital from the State budget to expedite the implementation of local socio-economic development projects.  

Special heed will be also paid to working closely with local relevant agencies to ensure planning management, as well as the effective implementation of site clearance work, compensation and relocation.  Cases of pavement encroachment for the purpose of trade and the illegal parking of vehicles will be strictly dealt with.
