On Wednesday, Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee (PC) Nguyen Xuan Anh played host to the Secretary of the Centrally-run Business Bloc’s PC, Mr Bui Van Cuong.

Secretary Cuong remarked that despite the global economic downturn, centrally-run businesses have made remarkable achievements in their production activities, and significant contributions to the total State budget over recent years.  He added that last year the businesses together spent over 2 trillion VND on social activities nationwide.

The guest also took the opportunity to thank the city leaders and local relevant agencies for facilitating centrally-run businesses to operate effectively in the city and fulfil their targets.

To mark the occasion, Secretary Cuong presented “For the Cause of Party Building in Businesses” medals to permanent members of the municipal PC in recognition of their active involvement in Party building activities in local businesses.

In reply, Deputy Secretary Anh highly praised the centrally-run businesses operating in the city for their active support in building houses for local social policy families over recent years.  He affirmed that the city authorities would create even more favourable conditions for these businesses to operate well in the city.  He also said he would like the Centrally-run Business Bloc’s PC to continue its efforts to actively get involved in local social welfare activities.
