Positive signs for tourism real estate
CBRE Viet Nam, a real estate consultancy firm, recently revealed the results of its survey on Da Nang’s tourism properties over the 1st quarter of this year.
Most notably, the city saw a sharp rise in the number of 3 and 4-star hotels over the period. Many of these new hotels are located in the inner city, but there has also been a boom in the seaside areas from Son Tra to Ngu Hanh Son districts.

Public sector employees will officially have 6 days off work (28 April to 3 May) for the upcoming public holidays. During the holiday period, the 2015 Da Nang International Fireworks Competition (DIFC 2015) will take place on 28 and 29 April and the city is expected to welcome a large number of domestic visitors during the period. Therefore, according to CBRE Viet Nam, local tourism project developers are taking advantage of the upcoming events to together put an estimated 1,300 new hotel rooms into use this month to satisfy the high demand for accommodation during the period.
Real estate investors are also taking the initiative to develop more 5-star resorts in the city. In addition to the arrival of international tourism brands such as Hyatt, Intercontinental, Novotel and Mercure, the Hilton Da Nang project between Tran Phu and Bach Dang streets is now under construction.
Work also recently started on the Oriental Sea Villas and Hotel project in Ngu Hanh Son District. Developed by the VinaCapital Group, the 50 million USD project features 250 hotel rooms meeting the international standards of the Sheraton brand name, along with 45 luxury villas of between 600 and 950m2 each.
In a similar vein, Viet Nam’s leading property firm Vingroup will start the implementation of its Vinpearl Villas Ngu Hanh Son - Da Nang project on Truong Sa Street in the 2nd quarter of this year.
