Vietnam Airlines adds flights for national holidays
The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will launch an additional 545 flights on some high-demand domestic and international routes from April 25 to May 4 to mark a national six-day holiday.
The number is 17.8% more than normal and represents an 82.9% increase against the same period last year.

The carrier will provide 332,472 seats on 513 extra flights on domestic routes, encompassing 101 flights between Hanoi and Da Nang; 48 between Hanoi and Dong Hoi; 35 between Ha Noi and Phu Quoc; 27 between Ha Noi and Nha Trang; 106 between Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Quoc; 67 between Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang; and 64 between Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang.
It will also operate 33 more flights from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, Quy Nhon and Tuy Hoa and 32 flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Buon Ma Thuot, Da Lat, Thua Thien-Hue, Quy Nhon and Vinh.
Internationally, it will add 32 flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Osaka, Narita, Busan, and Siem Reap and an extra flight from Da Nang to Narita.
According to the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, officers and workers will enjoy a six-day long public holiday from April 28, marking a series of occasions including the Hung Kings anniversary, Liberation Day (April 30) and May Day (May 1). They will work on the Saturday of the previous week (April 25) to cover the day-off of April 29, the ministry added.
