Work starts on regional logistics centre
Work started on Wednesday morning on the central region’s leading logistics centre in Da Nang’s Hoa Cam Industrial Park. The project aims to fully tap the city’s strengths to promote the development of logistics in the region.
Developed by the Transimex-Saigon Corporation at a cost of around 50 billion VND, the centre will cover an area of over 16,000m2. There will be a 9,300m2 grocery storehouse which will be built to withstand storm-force winds. In addition, the storehouse will be equipped with modern management software, an automatic raised floor system, and modern goods packaging systems.
The centre is expected to come into operation by late August. Once operational, it will help businesses in Da Nang, and those from the central region as a whole, to effectively implement their transportation, delivery, and storage services. Furthering the development of the local logistics services is one of the city’s priority orientations for the future.
