The first-ever '100 Potential Businesspeople in Da Nang' programme, which was officially launched in July 2014, is running until August 2017.

The event is being jointly organised by the city’s Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) Association, the municipal Support and Development Centre for SMEs, and some of the city’s universities.  The programme aims to arouse the business start-up spirit amongst local students and young people aged 18 to 28.

Under the programme, the best entrants will be selected to attend local courses on business start-up, administration and investment skills.  In particular, they will receive loans from the city’s Investment and Development Fund and the PVNI, which is a venture capital network which focuses on investing in high-potential startups in Viet Nam, along with local successful entrepreneurs.   In addition, the selected entrants can access local business premises and enjoy preferential policies issued by the municipal People’s Committee.

The event’s organisers have received 43 entries since the launch of the programme.  They were all highly appreciated for their relatively good quality, meticulous preparations and good start-up business ideas in various aspects of the economic sector.
