The Da Nang branch of the Mekong Housing Bank (MHB) was officially integrated into the city’s branch of the Bank for Investment and Development of Viet Nam (BIDV) on Thursday.

Municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Phung Tan Viet remarked that the integration process was in accordance with the regulations issued by the State Bank of Viet Nam about the restructuring of commercial banks nationwide, as well as keeping up with the development trends of the city and the country as a whole.

He also affirmed that the integration would help BIDV to raise its capital and to develop its human resources and consumer services in order to enhance its competitiveness with domestic and foreign rivals in the years ahead.

Vice Chairman Viet asked the city’s branch of the BIDV to offer suitable jobs to those who had formerly worked in the city’s branch of MHB.  In addition, he promised that the city leaders would create even more favourable conditions for the city’s branch of the BIDV to ensure sustainable development in the future.
