Civilised behaviour in tourism activities
Over recent years, Da Nang has seen positive developments in tourism, which is one of the city’s spearhead economic sectors. One of the most important factors which has attracted increasing numbers of visitors to the city is the civilised attitude and behaviour shown towards them. This has helped to make Da Nang a safer and more friendly destination for both domestic and foreign tourists.
Mr Aron Weinman from the USA said that he was deeply impressed by the hospitability and friendliness of the local people during his recent stay in the city. He added that when he told his new local friends about his intention to discover the Son Tra Peninsula by motorbike by himself, they enthusiastically give him instructions on how to prepare for his upcoming adventure trip.

Ms Tran Thi Ngoc Ha, a food and drink vendor at My Khe beach, said that her stand receives hundreds of visitors every day. She highlighted the importance of being polite and showing a civilised attitude and behaviour towards customers, which leaves a deep impression on them and helps her to develop her business activities effectively.
The Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr Tran Chi Cuong, remarked that 3 sets of behaviour rules have already been developed for local residents, tourism service providers, and for visitors. He added that this should is an important prerequisite for developing Da Nang into a safe, civilised and attractive destination for visitors.
Many local travel agencies have emphasised the importance of the issuing of rules of behaviour with the aim of improving the quality of the local tourism services, as well as of accessing and adjusting the rules to be in line with reality.
