Encouraging more local businesses to use e-tax declaration
As of 24 April 2015, 998 businesses in Da Nang had paid tax via the General Department of Taxation’s portal. Of this figure, 363 businesses had contributed a total of over 163 billion VND to the State budget through the use of the e-tax declaration services. However, the number of local businesses registering for these services still only accounts for 10% of the year’s target set by the General Department of Taxation.
A representative from a local business association said that many local businesses have been reluctant to make the switchover to using the e-tax declaration services. In addition, the city is now home to a large number of small and very small businesses, many of which have yet to apply corporate government software. Meanwhile, the use of e-tax declaration services is an inevitable development trend in the current context of global integration.

The Deputy Head of the city’s Taxation Department, Mr Nguyen Dinh An, remarked that active involvement by local businesses will play a vital role in ensuring the successful implementation of the e-tax declaration services.
The Head of the Lien Chieu District Taxation Office, Mr Ngo Tan Nhi, said that his unit is making every effort to further the publicity of e-tax declaration services among local businesses.
The municipal People’s Committee will ask local relevant agencies to faciliate local businesses in effectively using the services in the future.
