Mr Huynh Tan Vinh, a representative from the project’s developer, remarked that the centre will be used to organise meetings during the 25th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit, which is expected to be held in Da Nang in October 2017.  He also pledged that the construction of the centre would be completed in 2016.  A 5-star, 25-storey hotel will be constructed in the 2nd stage of the project in the following years.

The upgrade of the existing 314,653m2 Thanh Nien (Youth) Park in Cam Le District will start in August.  51,464m2 of the site will be earmarked to construct a square which will be designated for organising outdoor activities on the sidelines of the 25th APEC Summit.

The square will feature special characteristics of the land and people of the APEC’s 21 member countries.  Each area will cover between 750 and 1,000m2.  In addition, there will be other facilities, including areas for festivals, physical education and sports, camping and other outdoor activities.  The total cost of the facilities will be an estimated 50 billion VND.

Also at the event, the Dubai Asia Pacific Group announced adjustments to its seaside resort complex project in Ngu Hanh Son District.  The municipal authorities asked the project’s developer to ensure villas’s required area ranging from 500 to 700m2.
