Tourism Promotion Centre doing well!

DA NANG Today
Published: May 28, 2015

Over recent years, the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre has welcomed a number of international famtrip and presstrip delegations from prestigious travel agencies and media agencies worldwide.  The centre’s staff members have done their utmost to effectively advertise the characteristics of the land and people of Da Nang to international friends.

In April, 4 reporters from Australia arrived in the city to report about the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition 2015.  The Australian visitors were deeply impressed by the amazing beauty of the local tourist attractions and the professionalism of the Centre’s staff members, especially those who worked as tour guides for the group.

Amongst the guests was Ms Karen Halabi, the Editor-in-chief of The Luxe Traveller.  She said that she would take home unforgettable memories of this beautiful city - of her strolls on beautiful Bach Dang Street enjoying the cool breezes in the afternoons, experiencing a city tour by cyclo, and listening to stories about the daily lives of the local residents.

In the same month, the Centre also received and held a press conference with a famtrip delegation from Hong Kong.  Their visit to the city was to survey some of the local tourism products.

During the conference, representatives from the Centre enthusiastically answered all the questions raised by the guests about the city’s socio-economic and cultural development over recent years, the local preferential policies to attract foreign direct investment inflows, tourism and trade promotion activities, and other issues.

Thanks to its experience, the Centre helps local hotels and resorts to find effective ways to satisfy the diversified tastes of their foreign customers in order to encourage them to extend their stay periods here, to return again later, and to recommend Da Nang to others.

The Director of the Centre, Mr Nguyen Xuan Binh, remarked that his unit’s staff members always aim to enhance their professional skills, their proficiency in foreign languages, and their behaviour towards visitors, as well as to gain a thorough grasp of the characteristics of the city.  This will all help them to effectively advertise the image of the city, and that of the country as a whole, to international friends.
