City welcomes 2.2 million visitors in first half of year
According to the latest statistics released by the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the number of tourist arrivals to the city between January and June is expected to hit an estimated 2.2 million, up 25% compared with the same period last year.
Of this figure, the number of foreigners is expected to have risen by 33% to an estimated 600,000, whilst domestic visitors are predicted to have climbed by 22% to an estimated 1.6 million.

Over the 6-month period, a total of 478 accommodation providers have operated in the city, and together they have provided 17,600 rooms for visitors, 3,400 higher than the same period last year.
The city is now home to 198 travel agencies, a rise of 25 against the same period last year, and the total number of tour guides working in the city is now nearly 1,800.
