Da Nang’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) in July is likely to have gone up by 0.32% against June.  The prices are predicted to have increased by 0.32% in urban areas and by 0.35%s in rural areas.

The rise in July’s CPI is being mainly attributed to the increased demand for electricity from local residents due to the hot weather and the hike in food prices.

The highest increase is likely to be in housing, fuel and building materials at 1.31%, followed by restaurant and food services at 0.32%.

The average CPI over the first seven months jumped by 0.71% compared with the same period last year.
