Viet Nam recently hosted a workshop in the Belgian city of Liege to promote Da Nang as a destination for tourists from French-speaking countries across the globe.

The event took place within the framework of the 2nd French Language World Forum (FLWF) which runs from July 20-23. The forum brought together more than 1,500 delegates from all over the world, including Vietnamese representatives, to share their views and ideas on the “creative Francophone”.

The workshop was organised as part of a project that establishes links between French-speaking tourists and French language students in Da Nang. It was initiated by teachers and students at the city’s Hoang Hoa Tham and Phan Chu Trinh senior high schools.

The initiative, called “Diem hen Phap ngu” (Francophone Rendezvous), has been piloted at the two facilities since March and will be expanded to other schools from September onwards.
