Enhancing bilateral trade and tourism cooperation with South Africa
A workshop entitled “South Africa – Viet Nam Trade and Tourism Promotion” took place in Da Nang on Wednesday.
Jointly organised by the city’s branch of the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the South African Embassy in Viet Nam, the event was part of the 2015 International East-West Economic Corridor Trade and Tourism Fair which is being held at the Da Nang International Exhibition Fair Centre until 4 August.
At the workshop, local participating businesses and organisations were introduced to useful information on how to boost cooperation with their partners in South Africa in such aspects as tourism, trade, education and culture.
In addition the participants asked the South African government to give them further assistance in granting entry visas, and suggested that similar workshops should be held to help Vietnamese and South African businesses to understand more about mutual demands and potential.
According to the local branch of VCCI, South Africa is considered as Viet Nam’s potential partner in trade and tourism thanks to its friendly investment climate, preferential policies and an easy access market.
