The fair’s stands offer a wide range of tourism, trade and investment products including electrical and electronic devices, information technology, wooden products and furniture, interior decorations, handicrafts, textiles and garments, leather goods and footwear, processed products, tourism services and cuisine.

Municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Phung Tan Viet highlighted the important role of the EWEC fair in boosting friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding between countries along the EWEC.  In addition, the event gives a chance for foreign localities and organisations with which Da Nang has established diplomatic ties to introduce their strengths and seek cooperation opportunities in the city.  Vice Chairman Viet also vowed that the city’s authorities would create even more favourable conditions for the fair’s participants.

Within the framework of the event, a workshop on connecting supply and demand links and seeking trade opportunities took place on Thursday afternoon.  Jointly organsied by the departments of Trade and Industry in Da Nang and Quang Ninh Province, and the Thai Trade Centre in Ho Chi Minh City, the event was attended by representatives from about 70 domestic and foreign businesses.  Ways to enhance economic cooperation between businesses and their localities to fully tap their strengths and potential were discussed at the workshop.

Another workshop on boosting the development of tourism in South Korea’s Changwon City, along with many product introduction and sales programmes, will also be held as part of the ongoing fair.

Admission is free from 8am until 5.00pm, but tickets priced at 10,000 VND per person are required for entry after 5.00pm until 9:30pm.
