Over the 6 years since the launch of the “Vietnamese People Give Priority to Using Vietnamese Goods” campaign, there has been a positive change in the attitude of businesses, distributors and customers in Da Nang towards domestic products.  As a result, Vietnamese-made goods have won the trust of local consumers.

According to the latest survey conducted by the municipal Department of Industry and Trade, over 90% of local residents give top priority to buying domestic items.

At present, Vietnamese goods account for a high proportion of the total number of items on sale at local supermarkets, convenience stores and markets.  Representatives from local supermarkets said that home-produced goods account for between 90 and 95% of the total number of items on sale.  At local stores and markets, local consumers give top priority to buying domestic products thanks to their diversified designs.

Since the start of this year, the Department has cooperated with other local relevant agencies to organise 4 Vietnamese goods fairs in the city.  These events attracted a total of 700 businesses from localities nationwide, with a total revenue reaching 23.5 billion VND.

In an effort to enhance the efficiency of the campaign, many effective measures will be taken to connect supply and demand links and help local business to overcome their current difficulties, with a focus on facilitating them to access preferential loans and furthering the development of local support industries.

Special attention will also be paid to increasing checks and monitoring local markets, organising more trade promotion activities at home and abroad, and conducting market price stabilisation and market survey programmes in the near future.
