The Vietnamese goods fair will take place from 12 November to 12 December at the Ha Noi-Moscow Centre for Culture, Trade and Hotels in Moscow.  Covering a total of 15,000 square metres, the fair’s stands will offer a wide range of Vietnamese goods, including textiles and garments, leather goods and footwear, handicrafts, wooden products and furniture, foodstuffs and agricultural products.

At the workshop, the participants remarked that the upcoming fair will provide a chance for Vietnamese businesses to boost their export activities in Russia, and access even larger foreign markets including North America and Western Europe.

According to the city’s Department of Trade and Industry, Viet Nam and Russia are maintaining their traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership.  Two-way trade turnover between Viet Nam and Russia reached nearly 3 billion USD last year, and the 2 countries are aiming to bring the figure to 10 billion USD in 2020.

Meanwhile, two-way trade between Da Nang and Russia was still modest last year as the city earned only 3 million USD from exports to Russia, and imports from there are valued at about 300,000 USD.   The city’s exports usually include pharmaceuticals, finished rubber products, toys for children, plastic products and seafood.
