The country's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 6.81% in the third quarter and by 6.5% in the first 9 months of this year, the Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM) has reported.

The institute attributed the significant improvement of mid-term trend in the third quarter to increases in investment, consumption and economic institutional reforms.

Consumption in the first third quarter rose by 9.1% compared to the same period last year.
