'Da Nang River Tour' clip for advertising boat tours
Published: November 09, 2015
A video clip called 'Da Nang River Tour', which was made by the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DCST) and the city’s Vitours Media Company, went on the internet in September. The aim was to advertise the simple yet attractive beauty of the city’s Han River and the numerous tourist attractions alongside the river.
The clip showcases the stunning beauty of the romantic Han River with its numerous beautiful bridges, the simple daily working lives of the local fishermen, attractive boat tours along the river, and a wide range of delicious seafood specialities. It also depicts the modern and dynamic city with impressive images of high-rise buildings in the sunset, the beautiful Bridge of Love nearby the 'Carp Turns into a Dragon' statue, and the numerous attractive water sports.

During the clip, viewers are also introduced to 6 fascinating local boat tours, including tours discovering the beauty of Bai Cat Vang (Yellow Sand Beach) and the peaceful Tuy Loan River, and exploring the colourful coral reefs off the Son Tra Peninsula. Thanks to the clip’s vivid camera angles, these boat tours become even more attractive to visitors, and those who have never taken part in the city’s boat tours might now be eager to try the experience.
According to the Vitours Media Company, the clip was made using modern equipment, including 2 cameras featuring professional lenses, 2 flycams and 2 gopro cameras. The clip’s post production was created in a simple yet effective way, and it features sharp colour effects and impressive instrumental combinations.
The DCST is planning to make the clip in many different foreign languages, including English, South Korean and Chinese, to advertise the city’s special boat tours to international visitors. In particular, the clip will be shown on local and national television channels including VOV, HTV, DRT and DVTV, Youtube, the city’ Tourism Portal, the local free public wifi system and Facebook. In addition, it will be introduced at tourism roadshows and fairs, plus specialised seminars and conferences.
Currently, a total of 3 sightseeing boat tours of the domestic waterways are now being operated in the city, and all of them depart from the Han River. They are Han River Port - Mouth of the Han River - Son Tra Peninsula; Han River Port - Tran Thi Ly Bridge - Thuan Phuoc Bridge; and Han River Port - Son Tra Peninsula - Cu Lao Cham Islands.
From now until late 2017, the focus will be on organising 3 more boat tours in order to diversify the city's tourism products. The tours are Han River - Co Co River; Han River - Cam Le River - Tuy Loan River - Thai Lai Village; and Cu De River – Truong Dinh River.
