Flower growers in Hoa Vang District apply advanced technologies
Four flower growers in Da Nang’s Hoa Vang District have been chosen to participate in the district’s programme to apply advanced technologies to commercial flower growing.
They are the families of Mrs Nguyen Thi Le from La Bong Village, Mrs Nguyen Thi Anh from Nam Son Village, Mr Ngo Biet from Huong Lam Village, and Mr Nguyen Van Xin from Phu Son Nam Village.
Each of the families will spend a total of around 600 VND on planting high-value flowers in netted areas featuring automatic misting systems. Half of the cost will be paid from the city's budget.
The Deputy Head of the Hoa Vang District Office of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr Dang Ngoc Son, said that his office will work with local relevant agencies and the participating flower growers to ensure the effective implementation of the programme.
In 2012, 39-year-old Nguyen Xuan Hung from the district’s Hoa Chau Commune applied advanced technologies in growing Mokara orchids commercially, and he now very successfully supplies Mokara stems for sale at local markets.
