Over the past 5 years, Da Nang has seen numerous positive results in its foreign affairs.

In particular, the city has welcomed around 2,500 international delegations from many foreign countries and international organisations.  Included were the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the International Business Machines Corporation, the Intel Corporation and the Ericsson Group.

In addition, the city has established bilateral relations and signed bilateral trade agreements with numerous countries and territories worldwide.  It has also played active roles in various international multilateral forums.

During that period, the city has sent a total of 1,785 government officials on business trips taken abroad in order to expand bilateral cooperative ties with its foreign partners.  Focus has been also on organising a number of trade and tourism promotion programmes in foreign countries, and hosting many regional and international-level conferences and seminars.  These international events have helped to advertise the city’s image to international friends.

The above positive results have helped Da Nang to take maximum advantage of support from international organisations to promote the city’s sustainable socio-economic development as well as raise its position and reputation in international arena.
