KPMG Vietnam opens representative office in the city
On Thursday, the KPMG Vietnam company officially opened a representative office in Da Nang on the 5th floor of Indochina Riverside Towers at 74 Bach Dang.
Addressing an opening event, the municipal People's Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Vo Duy Khuong, said that the new office will allow local businesses to more easily access various financial and auditing services. The city leader took the opportunity to urge the office's staff to join efforts with the city’s authorities and its businesses to promote local economic development, with a focus on helping local start-up businesses ensure their sustainable development.
The company’s Chief Executive Officer cum General Director, Mr Warrick Cleine, said that his company's new office will provide the top-quality audit, tax, and financial advisory services for local customers. He proudly said that his company now has a total of over 1,000 employees working at its headquarters in Ha Noi, and at its representative offices in Ho Chi Minh City, Thanh Hoa, and Da Nang.
In the afternoon of the same day, a total of over 100 representatives from the city’s authorities and local businesses attended a seminar on taxation and auditing organised by KPMG Vietnam. In particular, the participants were introduced to the impact on local production and business activities of the recently-signed Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement and the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). The latest legal basis and the current market trends, as well as other issues relating to tax and financial services for domestic businesses, were also presented at the event.
