Promoting local tourism in Sydney
A workshop entitled ‘Da Nang - a New Destination in Asia’ took place at the Sydney Yacht Club in Australia on 18 December.
Co-organised by the Da Nang People’s Committee and the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia, the event was part of a series of activities to promote Da Nang's tourism in Australia as the Da Nang-Viet Nam yacht in the 2015 - 2016 Clipper Round the World Race is moored in Sydney Port from 12 - 26 December.
During the event, representatives from Da Nang introduced their foreign guests to useful information about the city, its great tourism advantages and potentials, and its special tourism products.

Speaking at the event, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia, Mr Luong Thanh Nghi, highly praised the Da Nang authorities for their great efforts in advertising the city’s image to the world. He highlighted the significance of the workshop which would help to give Australian people an insight into Da Nang's culture and progress, allowing Da Nang to gain popularity amongst the Australian people.
The Vietnamese diplomat took the opportunity to encourage businesses from Da Nang and Australia to foster cooperative tourism ties in the year ahead.
