At 9.15am last Friday, police officers from the Economic Crime Investigation Team at Da Nang’s Hai Chau District Police Station found and seized 8 cases of whisky containing 89 bottles.  The bottles were labelled with popular brand names including Chivas and St-Remy.

The boxes were being unloaded from a taxi on a section of Bach Dang’s riverside promenade, opposite 144 Bach Dang, in Hai Chau District.

The haul was found without any information about its owner or relevant papers to prove its origin.

Further investigations are now underway.
